Thank you to Roosters! for use of their meeting area. Attending: J Mackenzie, D Thomson, R Spencer, R Davies, R Moore, A Quinton, S Sabey, W Hazeldean, B Jackson
Discussed Citizen/Business/Youth of the year. Suggested 'Chamber of Commerce Gala' with focus on ages 12 and up - with sit down dinner, entertainment, presentation, dance to follow. Revised date set for Sat [28 Jan] 2012. Struck committees as follows: Dinner - S Sabey, D Thomson, B Jackson; Nomination/Advertizing - A Quinton, R Spencer, R Davies. Committees to provide budget and timing/plan requests for next meeting. Discussed Go Big concept for the event. Approved. CYB website has information on how to nominate for this event magrath-ab.net/chamber/index.php/vote-2011.html Need contact at school to coordinate advertising there re Youth of the Year. Suggest a portion of proceeds to Trail System or other Charitable event. Approved.
Discussed HomeTown Christmas event plans for Thu 1 Dec 2011. Entertainment - D Thomson, J Mackenzie reported on plans so far. Tables - R Moore reported Seniors will book own tables but plan on joining Chamber. R Davies will assist booking and has information from last event. R Moore will approach Museum and other locations on main street for number of possible bookings.
Discussed Spring 2012 Trade Show date. May wish to move event to Fri 4 May and Sat 5 May 2012.

Magrath Paint and Body has installed new roof over their entire building on Civic Ave.
Roosters has Dance Art Studio in their space behind store.
ATB Financial has completed a major upgrade to their internal and online banking systems.
K Roe Home Hardware looking to move north to newly acquired former 'Tanco' Building possibly in 2012
M Olsen recently completed another successful Kids Show display at the Magrath Ice Arena
D Thomson of Keyline Publishing has upgraded his offices (next to Magrath Pharmacy).
Arndt Garage has sold sign on it. Congratulations to all
