Standard Operating Protocols Manual

1. Answer Fire Phone.
2. Write fire location on chalk board.
3. Phone RCMP re: type and location of fire.
4. Radio check with units as they leave:
   • Rescue 1 (R1) = Rescue Van
   • Pumper 2 (P2) = 1994 Ford Pumper
   • Pumper 3 (P3) = 1970 Ford Pumper
   • Pumper 4 (P4) = 1975 Dodge Pumper
5. For general radio communications:
   • Portable 1 = Fire Chief
   • Portable 2 = Deputy Chief
6. Request the first unit arriving on the scene to radio back details of the situation.
7. In case additional assistance is required, check phone index.
8. In case of fire in a specific location (e.g. school), check tabs in the manual and follow guidelines if available.
9. Remain in radio room until all units have returned from the scene of the fire or once released by the incident commander.
