Choose the ones you feel are most important or may apply to your community. These are just a guide and therefore feel free to make up your own questions. What do you hope to achieve by going on a youth exchange? What does it mean to you to be an ambassador of Canada? What do you consider your greatest accomplishment in life to be so far? How would you describe Canada to your host family? What do you consider your strongest assets? What do you consider your greatest weaknesses? Why did you select the country as your first choice? What do you know about this country? What do you know about international relations between Canada and this country? How would you explain Canada's unity problems to your host family? It may be difficult at times being on an exchange far away from home. How would you deal with the stress involved (being tired, homesick, lonely, etc.)? What are your hobbies? Do you have any experience with community Service work? What do you know about Lions and our work in the community? How would you finance your trip? What would you do to prepare yourself for the exchange? What would you like the Lions clubs and your host families to say about you after you've gone? Question #13 should not be used to reflect ranking of the student. This question is suggested to give you some idea of how youth in general view Lions in your community. Your student may not know anything about Lions. It will be up to your Club to educate whomever you choose.
