In summer of 2008 Devar completed the final leg of his cross Canada bicycling journey and put his foot into the water out there on the east coast. Cool.
In summer of 2007, if you watched closely, you may have seen him pedal by on the side of the road - somewhere in Ontario .. from Kenora, ON to North Bay (up over the great lakes to stay in Canada).
Two summers before that (2005), he dipped his toe in the Pacific ocean in BC and then rode his bike from BC to Magrath, AB. The previous summer (2006) he rode from Magrath, AB to Kenora, ON. Assisting in his quest to cycle across Canada, Lion Devar's good wife drives from site to site for their evening camps. All the best to him on this 'leg' of the journey.

see devardahl bike trip 2008 if you are on facebook.. Of course, besides functioning as the Magrath Lions Club President for these past several years, he also keeps busy by working as a full time teacher at the Magrath High School and as a Magrath Town Council member. In his spare time he sits on several boards (Town Library and Town Museum) and in his other spare time he indulges his passion for counting leopard frogs at the Magrath Fish Pond.
We hardly mentioned that he and his wife are also featured on the McDonald Cups and Bags this year
