MES Canada Day Program

E-mail Print

Our annual MES Canada Day Program was great fun under the direction of Lion Elizabeth with much assistance from the Elementary School (Thanks to Mrs Wilde for the helium balloons and decorations) and to everyone for helping and attending. Lions Club donated 30 dozen donuts for the happy MES student attendee's. Have a great summer and a happy real Canada on the 1st  of July!

This is what we advertised:
"Watch for our next community event .. at the Magrath Elementary School!

  • When? on last day of the MES school year – Monday 18th Jun 2012 in the afternoon at the Magrath Elementary School.
  • Who? The entire grade one through six student body (about 360 students) will be participating in a special 'early' Canada Day Celebration program hosted by the Magrath Lions Club.
  • Why? The official Canada Day holiday was inconveniently scheduled for 1 Jul on our calendar .. in the middle of summer vacation .. when school is out. We hope to promote a love for our country within our up and coming citizens in training.

It should be great fun!
Happy Canada Day .. eh."
