The Magrath Lions Club Community Birthday Calendar 2013 Campaign will be held 24 Jul 2012 - 31 Oct 2012 (Town Celebration through Halloween) for delivery at the end of Nov .. a bit after the Town Celebration, but in time for Holiday gift giving .. so have a Happy New Year! Forms and extra calendars will be available at the Magrath Pharmacy and from any Lion Club member. Sample Calendar

Our online public calendar is maintained at calendar.google.com. Please let us know ASAP of any errors or omissions. This year the printed birthday calendar will begin with the month of Jan 2013 and continue through the month of Dec 2013 with production in Nov 2012 and distribution by the start of Dec 2012. 24-36 ad blocks are available for purchase on a first come first served basis to businesses, organizations or individuals. The ads are placed so they are visible for at least 12 full months. Up to 250 calendars will be produced based on expected sales and a decorative community color photo will be placed at the top of the calendar. All proceeds go to support ongoing Lions Club projects - this year to local community programs and projects. Prices are as follows:

Listings will be reproduced as indicated on the original order form and may be verified on the calendar above [note: some names may be cut off on the screen version due to browser restrictions .. just click on the blue boxed name to see the full text entered]. Please contact a member of the Magrath Lions Club for details on getting yourself included in our calendar next year!

A guy and his Lions Seeing Eye Dog go into a barroom. The bartender says, "Hey, get that dog out of here... we don't allow dogs in here."
Wait a minute, the guy says, "This is no ordinary dog ! This is 'Plato' the talking dog !"
"Yeah, sure" says the bartender.
I'll prove it to you," says the guy. "Plato... what's on top of a building?"
"ROOF !" says the dog.
"Look," says the bartender, "just how dumb do you think I am?"
"Wait a minute," says the guy. "Plato, how does sandpaper feel?"
"RUFF !" says the dog.
"Do I have 'stupid' tattooed across my forehead or something," says the bartender. "Now get that dog out of here! "
"Wait.. I'm not through", says the guy. "Plato, who was the greatest baseball player of all time?"
"RUTH !" says the dog.
"That does it !! " says the bartender, and he throws them both out on the street.
Outside, the dog looks at his owner and says, "Do you think I should have gone with DiMaggio?"
Our dogs are smart .. and besides, they would allowed in there even if they don't talk.
