Newsflash

My nephew was admiring my watch the other day. He asked, Do you wear it often? I reply, Only when I have the time.

Mr West taught us (at the Magrath High School) never to end a poem with the words silver or orange because nothing rhymes with them. Hmm .. first of all how could nothing rhyme with silver (del'ver?) or orange (door hinge?) .. the ending -ing sound is nothing like -lver or -ange sounds. And also, logically, if nothing rhymes with silver and orange then silver must rhyme with orange (since if a=b and b=c then a=c where b=nothing and a=silver and c=orange). Don't argue with a 50 year old, they never give in.
