Magrath Lions Club Bringing Our Community Together
Club History: The Magrath Lions Club was founded in Magrath, Alberta, in May 1938 with Gladstone Balderson as the first president and soon had 35 active members. One major accomplishment back then was the construction of the original Magrath Swimming Pool (now long gone) and the Magrath Lions Playground (still operating / upgraded in Jul 2009). This year we celebrate our 72nd year as a club in Magrath. year working in and with the Town of Magrath in May 2008.
Membership: We are a small but active club with currently about a half-dozen Active Lions Club members in Magrath and area. Because our numbers are rather small, there are great local leadership opportunities, and thanks to many willing local volunteers, we get great support in carrying out our projects. See our website for more information on club membership or volunteering opportunities. Thanks Magrath!
