Update: Most of the individual entries got a '1st' in freestyle and duet performances. The team entry got a high '2nd' place. An excellent result for their first year in this new category. Congratulations to all. You may have caught their encore performance on the 15th of Apr here in Magrath as well.

Archive: Ms Jennifer Sabey is taking her group of cloggers to the www.americaonstage.org/Competitions/KOC/Poc/kocpochome.htm in Pocatello, Idaho at the end of spring break in mid April.

They will be performing April 9-10, 2010 at the KOC Kick Off Classic Pocatello held at the Stephens Performing Arts Center of the Idaho State University in Pocatello, Idaho. The Idaho State Championships at Pocatello is sponsored by America On Stage and features all levels of dance (Jazz, Ballet, Hip Hop, Tap, Clogging, and Power Tap Events from Beginning through Professional (Pro). STORYTELLING CONTEST
award ceremony will be held in conjunction with the Magrath Elementary School Assembly Friday March 12th, 2010
at the Magrath School Auditorium at Noon.

Award checks and certificates will be presented by Lions Roger Davies and Elizabeth Olsen

Magrath Soccer 2010

Soccer Registration will be held at Magrath Ice Arena (upstairs) on March 10th and 11th from 6:30pm-8:30pm for interested players born 2004 to 1991 (U-6 to U-18). Registration forms are available at the Magrath Elementary School and at the Westwind Weekly News Office in Magrath. Completed forms must be submitted to either of these locations by Friday March 26th, 2010.

After March 26th late registrations will be charged a $10 late fee subject and applicants will be placed on a waiting list (to see if players are needed in that age group).

Roger 'Smudge' Davies of Magrath is happy to be participating in a performance of Plaid Tidings at the thecarriagehousetheatre.com in Cardston, AB Directed by Bill Simon with Music by Alonna Leavitt along with Les 'Jinx' Sykes, Peter 'Sparky' Simon and Don 'Frankie' Yuill.
