I have been getting a number of calls and inquiries for my Magrath News website from people who have presumed that this site (magrath-ab.net/news) was in some way affiliated with the local Magrath (Westwind Weekly) news paper or with the Town of Magrath itself.

Christmas Box Project 2009

E-mail Print PDF
The Magrath Lions Club would like to encourage you to participate in their current project: "Give a gift that will mean much more than most of the presents youÂ’re about to give this year .. This one is for an individual needy child who will likely have no other gift at all this Christmas.

For many years the Magrath United Church has been sending lovingly packed Shoe Boxes filled with necessities and small gifts to children in Central and South America.

This year The Lions Club is happy to partner with them and hopefully get the whole community more fully involved. Information for packing boxes can be found online at samaritanspurse.ca/occ or handouts at the Magrath Pharmacy.
