"Kelly & Michele Kinneard 1958-2009 1959-2009
It is with deep regret and sorrow that the Kinneard children announce the sudden and tragic passing of their beloved parents Kelly and Michele Kinneard. Their lives were taken in a fatal car accident on December 18 and 19, 2009 near Moose Jaw, SK at the ages of 51 and 50. Michele and Kelly are survived by their six children; ten grandchildren, and two sets of loving parents. They are dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew them.
A funeral will be held in celebration of their lives at; LDS Stake Center, Magrath, Alberta, December 30th at 2:00, a viewing will be held from 1:00 to 1:45. In lieu of flowers, donations will be greatly appreciated.
On December 18, 2009 at 10:30 AM Kelly and Michele Kinneard were driving on the Trans Canada just outside of Moose Jaw SK towards Regina SK to visit their daughter and grandchildren before Christmas, a short 1 and a half hour drive .That morning there was very low visibility due to severe fog and icy roads. They collided with the rear trailer of a double trailer semi, who was turning across the highway at an intersection. Because of the low visibility neither driver was able to see each other in time. The collision was declared accidental on for both parties. Kelly was declared dead on the scene, Michele was rushed to the hospital, and died the next day due to head injuries sustained during the collision. All 6 children and Michele`s parents were able to make it to the hospital from Magrath, Edmonton and Regina area before her final moments to say good-bye. The family is grieving, but doing OK, and is very thankful for all the support and love they have received from friends, family and acquaintances."

Magrath couple killed in tragic highway crash

"Funeral services will be held in Lethbridge [correction: actually at Magrath LDS Stake Center in Magrath, AB] Wednesday for a Magrath couple who were killed Friday in Saskatchewan. RCMP say Kelly Kinneard, 51, and his wife Michele, 50, died after the van they were in collided with a semi trailer unit just west of Moose Jaw.
Kelly Kinneard, who was driving, died at the scene while Michele succumbed to her injuries in hospital Saturday. The couple had been eastbound on the Trans-Canada Highway just west of Moose Jaw. The driver of the semi was not injured. Police say the crash happened at an intersection and that ice-fog was blanketing the area at the time.
The Kinneards are the parents of three sons and three daughters. A representative of Generations Funeral Home in Lethbridge said family members were in Regina Monday making arrangements to have the couples bodies brought home for services."
