How big is Magrath?
The 2006 Census puts the Population of Magrath at 2081, up from 1993 way back in 2001. Oscar and Hank (of Cornergas fame) would put it at 'about 2100'. It shows us up 4.4% over last census and for the first time over the 2000 person mark. You can see the results for yourself at www.statcan.ca.

Remember: Our town celebration is NOW held on the 4TH Saturday of July each year. It USED to be the closest Saturday to the 24th. That meant we had our Parade on Saturday July 28 in 2007. Next year it will be on July 26, 2008 .. then July 25, 2009 .. then July 24, 2010 .. then Jul 23, 2011 .. and finally back to July 28, 2012 .. Happy Magrath Days! |
